Le noyau ferrique, situé dans les profondeurs au centre de la terre, est la source de l’énergie magnétique.  Organisée en champs magnétiques circulaires qui s’alignent sur les pôles terrestres, elle nous protège des rayonnements cosmiques nocifs et sans lesquels il ne serait pas possible de vivre sur cette planète.
Les éruptions volcaniques ramènent cette matière sous forme de lave à la surface.
Durant des voyages au Cap Vert, Ventotene ou Ponza îles aux origines volcaniques, j’ai ramassé cette lave réduite en sable noir ferrugineux répondant à cette énergie magnétique et contaminé par elle.
Ces sables sont notamment composés de magnétite, un minerais de fer agissant comme aimant naturel et jouissant de la réputation d’avoir des vertus de renouvellement notre propre vitalité.
En jouant avec des aimants et ces sables ferrugineux sur des toiles murales céramiques, je découvre que les flux d’énergies s’organisent en général d’après un certain « pattern » symétrique -les champs magnétiques.
Ce pattern de flux circulaires se reproduit non seulement en présence de minéraux mais dans toute forme de vie.
Le fer est un colorant puissant utilisé en céramique, qui fixera ces lignes magnétiques sur la terre leur permettant de rester visibles même après cuisson.

The liquid iron core situated deeply in the heart of mother earth is the origin of the geomagnetic energy. Organized in circular magnetic fields which line up with the earth poles it protects us from harmful cosmic radiation and without which live would not be possible on this planet. Through volcanic eruptions this material is brought from the inner core to the surface in form of lava. During trips to Cape Verde, Ventotene or Ponza- islands of volcanic origin, I collected this to black ferruginous sand reduced lava at the shore. I learned much later about its magnetic contamination and its attraction to it. These sands are notably composed by an iron mineral called hematite which is a natural magnet, enjoying the reputation of having virtues of renewing our own vitality. Playing with these sands and magnets I discover that the flux of energy is organized after the same symmetric circular patterns and magnetic fields -depending on the magnets’ scale . Since the dawn of time iron oxide is used as a natural pigment to pass down human history and later of course as a powerful ceramic dye. Exploring both the magnetic attraction and archaic force of coloration I wish to perpetuate the magnetic fields on the ceramic surface.
